In the version with a wider chain line (52 mm), the reliable FC-U2000-1 crank from the Shimano ESSA series not only impresses with a comfortable and smooth ride feel, but also with excellent chain retention on any terrain. Responsible for the optimized chain guidance is the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ tooth design of the chainring suitable for 7- and 8-speed drivetrains.

Dynamic Chain Engagement+ | The special tooth profile for chainrings of 1-speed drivetrains noticeably improves chain retention, which also makes pedaling easier in rough terrain and offers particular advantages in the MTB application areas of Cross County, Enduro and Trail. The optimized chain guidance also reduces abrasion and wear, regardless of the gear selected.
