Designed with the aggressive goalie in mind, the all new Vapor 1X OD1N Leg Pads are for those that use their instinct and quickness to make the save no matter what. Packed with new technology, the 1X fosters expert mobility, a lightweight feel, and superior coverage.
One of the coolest advancements in the 1X is the Tapered Flex Core. This design allows the pad thickness to taper towards the outer edge, which keeps the landing area maximized for proper seal and sliding, and the outer edge thinner to reduce weight and add flexibility.
The leg channel and strapping has been optimized in the 1X to offer excellent balance, rotation and comfort. First, Bauer uses the Tune Fit strapping system, which is designed to give the goalie the ability to dial in the fit that gives him or her the best rotation. The strap itself provides a balanced, more secure feel on the leg. Rotation is further enhanced with Bauer’s addition of the Custom Rotation System stretch lace toe tie. For increased comfort, the 1X uses Transfer Mesh, a breathable fabric that quickens the evaporation process, to maximize airflow in the 37.5 Technology liner.
For protection, the Vapor 1X OD1N uses a Curv Composite internal core, which not only reduces weight, but provides the necessary stiffness in the thigh rise of the pad. The calf wing uses AEROLITE foam for boosted protection, and the 1X OD1N knee guard uses Curv Composite and XRD foam for any shots that find their way to more vulnerable areas.
