Intro & New Features
The CCM Jetspeed FT7 Pro hockey stick is the latest innovation from one of the leading names in hockey equipment. Designed with elite players in mind, this stick combines cutting-edge technology, top-of-the-line materials, and expert craftsmanship to deliver amazing performance on the ice. The FT7 Pro features a hybrid kick point, “R” geometry along the shaft, a Sigma STP spread tow weave, and an RR-110 X-Soft Helicoid blade.
Stick Profile
The Jetspeed line uses a hybrid kick point, which combines the benefits of both a low and high kick point. It is designed to provide a quick release for wrist and snap shots, while also delivering more power for slap shots. The hybrid kick point is achieved by using a combination of carbon fibres with different flex properties in the lower and upper parts of the shaft. The lower part of the shaft uses stiffer carbon fibres, creating a low kick point for quick releases. The upper part of the shaft uses more flexible carbon fibres, creating a higher kick point for increased power and accuracy on slap shots.
Shaft Construction
The shaft of the FT7 Pro uses a rounded “R” geometry, which is intended to provide a more comfortable and natural grip and a better feel for the player compared to traditional “T” geometry. This shape is also designed to reduce air resistance when in use, increasing shot speed and accuracy.
The carbon fibres are weaved together with a Sigma STP spread tow carbon weave, built specifically for players to enhance their game and enhance stick strength, durability, and performance. The Sigma STP spread tow carbon weave provides a high level of consistency in the material. The tight weave and uniform fibre distribution create a predictable and consistent response in the stick, making it easier for players to control the puck and make accurate shots. This is ideal for the Jetspeed line, which is meant to adjust to all situations.
Blade Construction
The RR-110 X-Soft Helicoid blade utilizes smaller increments of carbon layer stacking to increase blade durability while significantly improving stick feel when passing and stickhandling. The helicoid technology excels in achieveing a perfect balance of blade durability and responsiveness. By optimizing the angles of the carbon layers in finer gradations than ever before, the blade effectively dissipates energy from in-game impacts, ensuring it maintains its integrity over an extended period.
Graphics
The graphics keep to the modern Jetspeed text look. The Jetspeed logo is red, in addition to some accents, and the carbon weave is visible from the blade up to the top of the stick, with a uniform dark shade showcasing the construction of the FT7 Pro.
Grip
The grip on the FT7 Pro is a raised FT Microfeel grip located in the mid section of the shaft to ensure perfect control when playing.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The Jetspeed FT7 Pro Senior hockey stick is available in the following blade patterns: P28, P29, P88, and P90TM.
P28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.
P29 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
P88 is a relatively traditional curve. A popular choice in the past, it excels greatly in stickhandling, quick wrist shots, and controlling snap shots.
P90TM takes elements from both the P29 and P28 and is just a bit taller.
