The Ultrasonic replaces the 2S Pro as Bauer's top of the line, powerful stick. However, the Ultrasonic features a new mid kick-point hockey for quick release as well as Sonic Taper Technology, Advanced Carbon Layering, Duraflex Resin System, Textreme Construction, and FastCore Blade Technology. Equipped with black, dark grey, green, and yellow graphics, this Ultrasonic is the new and improved combination of the ADV and 2S Pro. Coming in at 390 grams (Senior), 25 grams lighter than the 2S Pro, the previous statement is confirmed.
Starting off with the shaft, Bauer utilizes Sonic Taper Technology which has been tested and improved to greatly improve energy transfer from the shaft to the blade. This powerful shaft is constructed with Textreme Technology with Duraflex Resin. Textreme is proved to be Bauer's highest performing composite construction for sticks, while Duraflex Resin adds additional durability to ensure stick strength.
For the blade of the Ultrasonic, Bauer has gone with their FastCore Blade. This blade features a lightweight outer edge, while using lightweight crisp foam throughout except for in shooting hot spots where a soft core maximizes puck acceleration. Advanced Carbon Layering is used along with this blade which in simpler terms involves restructuring carbon fibers. This process improves the durability of the stick while providing improved puck feel.
